Growth-Hormone Axis

Sermorelin

One of the earliest GHRH analogues, a truncated fragment studied for decades as a gentle way to support the body's own growth-hormone production.

What it is

Sermorelin is a well-established GHRH analogue made of the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone-releasing hormone — the minimum needed to remain active. It has one of the longest research histories of any growth-hormone peptide.

How it's thought to work

It binds pituitary GHRH receptors to prompt the body's own growth-hormone release. Because it works upstream and relies on natural feedback loops, overshoot is self-limited — the pituitary won't release more than it should.

Potential health benefits

Studied for:

  • Supporting age-related declines in growth hormone.
  • Sleep quality, given the GH–deep-sleep link.
  • General vitality and recovery.

What the research says

Sermorelin has been examined in both adults and (historically) paediatric growth contexts. It's regarded as a gentle, feedback-respecting option, though its very short half-life means timing matters in study designs.

Considerations

Sold as a research compound. Hormonal pathways are systemic — qualified medical guidance is recommended.
